Children’s Festival of Friends

Come to Newport News Park on Saturday, May 6th and help us celebrate the Newport News Children’s Festival of Friends!  This year’s Children’s Festival of Friends will feature some of your children’s favorite characters, including the Berenstain Bear kids, Rainbow Fish, Curious George, Paddington Bear, and Spiderman! Friendly animals from Jack’s Jungle and Barnyard on Wheels will also be on site. There will be a variety of live performances on the Arboretum Stage, as well as a live K9 demo from the Newport News Police Department nearby. The festival also features over 100 hands-on activities and attraction that will include inflatables, make-and-take crafts, trackless train rides and so much more! All that activity can work up an appetite. Luckily for you, there will be food vendors selling favorites including pizza, grilled cheese, shaved ice, funnel cakes, seafood, ice cream and more!

*An important note for everyone attending: there will be no pets permitted in the festival area.
