PUBLIC BOAT RAMPS - Saltwater

Denbigh Park

Hours: Sunrise – 10 p.m.
Located at the end of Denbigh Boulevard, provides access to the Warwick River

Peterson’s Yacht Basin

Hours: 24 hours
Located at 16th Street and Walnut Avenue, provides access to the Hampton Harbor

Huntington Park Boat Ramp

Hours: 24 hours
Located near the entrance to the James River Bridge on Mercury Boulevard, provides access to the James River

Paddle Boat, Canoe & Jon Boat Rentals

Boat rentals are available daily year-round at the Newport News Park Campsite Office and on weekends and holidays during summer months at Lee Hall and Harwood’s Mill (jon boats only) concessions. Paddles, oars, and personal flotation devices are provided. You must be at least 16 years of age to rent watercraft. Canoes are not available for rent when the water temperature is below 60 °F.
