Sustainable Landscaping Festival

Join us for the Sustainable Landscaping Festival – Rooted Together, on November 7, 2026, from 10 AM to 3 PM at Huntington Park for a community education event sponsored by Newport News Green Foundation and Newport News Parks and Recreation. This family‑friendly event highlights sustainable landscaping, native plants, and ecological stewardship through interactive exhibits, hands-on demonstrations, and educational activities.

The event will feature 20–30 vendors, including native plant nurseries, local museums, environmental organizations, state agencies, city departments, a Free Tree Giveaway, and a variety of food trucks. Guests can also enjoy a speaker series led by extension agents, landscape designers, and local sustainability‑focused nonprofit leaders.

This event supports Rooted Together’s mission to grow urban forestry awareness across Newport News.
