World Arts Celebration
Immerse yourself in art, culture, and international community!
Join us for the World Arts Celebration on Saturday, October 25 from 10 AM – 3 PM at Christopher Newport University. Enjoy performances, cultural exhibits, and family-friendly fun across Christopher Newport University’s campus — outside on the Ferguson Lawn, inside the Mary M. Torggler Fine Arts Center, and inside the Ferguson Center for the Arts’ Peebles Theatre, the Studio Theater, and the lobby.
That evening, don’t miss international cellist Yo-Yo Ma in a special ticketed performance at 7:30 PM at the Ferguson Center for the Arts.
Proudly presented in partnership with Christopher Newport University, Ferguson Center for the Arts, Mary M. Torggler Fine Arts Center, Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center, Sister Cities Newport News, and CAN Foundation.
SHUTTLE INFORMATION
Catch a free shuttle from our designated pickup locations to the World Arts Celebration. As a bonus, hop back on the shuttle to the Hilton Village Fall Festival to find even more artisans, crafters, and entertainment!
Please note that there are five shuttle pick-up locations and routes. The World Arts Celebration closes at 3 pm, and shuttles will stop dropping off guests at Christopher Newport University at 2:00 pm and continue to the Hilton Village Fall Festival.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND: Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (age 16 years or older).
Attendants and signage will be available on site to ensure you get on the right shuttle to return to your original pickup location.

Hours: 11:00 am – 5:00 pm
Free admission, parking, activities, giveaways, and entertainment.

City Center at Oyster Point (Park for free in any garage and catch the shuttle at the corner of Fountain Way and Thimble Shoals Boulevard. The Fountain Way parking garage is located at 100 Fountain Way. The shuttle pick up location is on the street, on the Thimble Shoals Boulevard side of the parking garage.)
