Backyard Bash

Let the lawn games begin! Grab your sunglasses and your favorite pair of flip-flops and bring the family to Superblock Park (2601 Washington Ave.) as Newport News Parks & Recreation helps put an exclamation point on the summer with the Backyard Bash. Trampoline stunt performers, DJ Moby LeMelle, great food, cold beverages and fun activities all in the heart of historic downtown Newport News for the ultimate “backyard” party. The free event begins at 4:00 p.m. and will offer fun activities, music, dancing and yard games along with a great selection of food trucks providing options for everyone to enjoy. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets.
Flippenout Showtimes: 4:30pm | 5:30pm | 7:00pm
Admission to the Backyard Bash is free. Free parking is available street-side as well as in the Newport News City Hall parking lot. (2400 Washington Ave.) Food vendor prices will vary.
